GenerationEd seeks a Center Operations Support Partner in Greensboro, NC to maintain a clean, safe environment for children, families, and staff. You will perform custodial tasks, support classrooms, and assist with daily operations to sustain a nurturing center.

Responsibilities include safety checks, inventory management, event setup, and flexible coverage during staff breaks, arrivals, and dismissals, while adhering to health and sanitation standards and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior custodial, maintenance, or early childhood center experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a team environment and supporting diverse staff and families is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily custodial duties to keep classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas clean and sanitary.
  • Ensure safe handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies and notify supervisor of needed materials or repairs.
  • Conduct regular playground safety checks and ensure area is hazard-free for children.
  • Provide classroom support, assisting with supervision, transitions, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Cover staff lunch breaks or short absences to maintain classroom ratios and uninterrupted care.
  • Support arrival/dismissal routines, meals, and center events as needed.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance or custodial requests to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Assist with setup/breakdown of furniture, equipment, and materials for classrooms or events.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation procedures per policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in interactions with staff, families, and children.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support center operations.
  • Flexible to travel to other centers when needed.

The Center Operations Support Partner plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive environment for children, families, and staff. This position ensures the center is well-maintained through custodial and maintenance duties while also providing operational and classroom support as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform daily custodial duties, including cleaning classrooms, restrooms, offices, andcommon areastomaintaina healthy and sanitary environment.

Essential Qualifications
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GEDrequired.
  • Prior custodial, maintenance, or early childhood center experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a team environment and supporting diverse staff and families is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation standards consistently.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride inmaintaininga clean, organized environment.
  • Flexibility to shift between custodial, classroom, and operational support tasks throughout the day.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with staff, children, and families.
  • Ability to lift, move, or carry items up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Commitment tomaintaininga safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children and staff.
Physical, Mental and /or Visual Demands
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time throughout the day.
  • Must be able tolift upto 35lbs.
  • Must be able to bend and stoop.
  • Must be able to walk extended periods throughout thedaymonitoring.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close, distance, color, peripheraldepthand the ability to adjust focus.
