B Positive Plasma in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Center Manager to oversee daily operations, donor safety, and product integrity under the Operations leadership.

You will ensure SOP compliance with FDA/state guidelines, manage donor flow and staff scheduling, and support QA audits. The role requires nursing licensure (LPN), CPR/BLS, and strong leadership.

Travel to other centers for training, respond to alarms, and maintain inventory and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; higher degree preferred in management, nursing, finance or science.
• Current LPN nursing license in good standing for the state applying for.
• Current CPR and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure center operations, SOP compliance, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain center documentation, logs, training, and equipment validations.
• Manage donor flow and on-site staff scheduling; address day-to-day issues.
• Recruit, onboard, and train new hires; conduct performance assessments.
• Report QA issues affecting safety, purity, identity, or quality of blood products.
• Respond to audits and assist with QA investigations.
• Oversee inventory, purchasing of supplies, and facility maintenance.
• Travel to other centers for training or staffing support.
• Fill in and support center operations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Job Summary:

The Center Manager will perform under the supervision of the Operations Manager and at times will take instruction and tasks from the Senior Director of Operations. The Center Manager will ensure donor suitability, product integrity, and the continued good health of donors through the compliance with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, state regulations, the Standard Operating Procedure Manual guidelines of the Company and any other applicable regulatory standards.

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Ensure all center operations, product storage, documentation, facility maintenance, quality control, and training are current and consistent with the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures Manual (the “SOP”), current State and Federal guidelines, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and any other internal Company procedures
• Regular review and updating, as needed, of center documentation such as logs, forms, training records, proficiency testing, and equipment validations/qualifications to ensure compliance
• Manage the center’s donor flow and on-site personnel, including scheduling, managing break times, and responding to day-to-day issues and concerns; elevate issues when necessary
• Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new hires; complete performance assessments of all designated center employees according to the SOP and perform retraining as needed
• Report to Quality Assurance any errors/incidents that may affect the safety, purity, identity, or quality of blood products; assist in responding to Quality Assurance audits, as needed
• Review, investigate and respond to center related issues, donor complaints, employee concerns, post-donation information, and other operational matters in accordance with the SOP or other relevant company policies
• Handle the receipt of positive test results or other product-related issues; oversee the quarantining and/or the destruction of questionable or unacceptable units
• Assist with the preparation for and completion of product shipments
• React to all security and freezer alarms or concerns that occur on or off hours
• Responsible for inventory management and purchasing of all cleaning, office and medical supplies
• Ensure center is regularly clean, safe and organized; handle and/or report maintenance, facility, safety, and equipment concerns or issues
• Available to travel to other facility(ies) for training or assisting other center's staffing needs
• Fill in and assist with center operations, when needed
• Other duties, as assigned

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma, required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferred in Management, Business, Nursing, Finance, or science related field (must provide documentation)
• Current nursing license (LPN) in good standing for state applying for

Physical Requirements:

• Read computer screens, procedure manuals and other documents

• Ability to lift, pull, tug up to 50 pounds to stock supplies and/or move or support donors

• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
• Required to stand for extended intervals, walk, climb and balance; stoop, kneel and crouch.
• Physical ability to operate equipment used on donor floor areas that may require repetitive motion and manual dexterity.
• Ability to read while standing or sitting in front of a computer for short periods of time.
• Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) required such as eyewear, lab coats, and gloves
