Summary

D'Youville University is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to serve as a Workforce Development Skills Supervisor for short-term healthcare training programs. This role will support hybrid and in-person allied health courses, with primary responsibility for hands-on skills instruction, lab supervision, competency checkoffs, student remediation, and clinical readiness.
The RN Skills Supervisor will support programs such as CNA, Phlebotomy Technician, EKG Technician, patient care skills, infection control, clinical professionalism, and related entry‑level healthcare training. The role may also support selected skills‑lab components of Medical Assistant or other programs in collaboration with program‑specific instructors or subject‑matter experts.
This is a part‑time role with a mix of hybrid and in‑person responsibilities. Online course oversight and student follow‑up may be completed remotely when appropriate. Skills labs, demonstrations, checkoffs, simulations, and student assessments will be conducted in person at D'Youville or another approved training location.
The ideal candidate is a clinically strong RN who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping students gain the skills, confidence, and professionalism needed to enter the healthcare workforce.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
Experience
  • Clinical experience in healthcare, nursing, patient care, or a related setting.
Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to teach, demonstrate, supervise, and evaluate hands‑on healthcare skills.
  • Strong communication, organization, and student support skills.
  • Comfort working with adult learners and students entering healthcare for the first time.
