Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy is seeking exceptional behavior technicians to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in a 1:1 setting under BCBA supervision. Candidates must hold or be willing to complete a 40-hour RBT training and pass the competency exam within 45 days of employment.

Therapy targets include language and communication, social, and school readiness skills for children on the autism spectrum. Data collection and collaboration with families are essential aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be willing to complete a 40-hour RBT training and pass the competency exam within 45 days of employment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have reliable transportation and, where applicable, a valid driver's license and car insurance.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification along with a TB test if not current.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follow prescribed behavioral protocols as outlined in the client’s treatment plan developed by the BCBA/BCaBA.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training aligned with treatment plans.
• Ensure documentation is completed on time following established procedures.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding client progress.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment.
• Assist BCBA/BCa in preparing client materials and assessments.
