Job summary

Sci Corp in Green Bay, WI seeks a Cemetery Maintenance Associate to perform openings and closings for burials, install memorials and markers, and complete client work orders with care and precision.

Responsibilities include grounds and facilities maintenance, operating hand tools and machinery, preparing burial sites, and following all safety rules. A high school diploma and at least six months of equipment experience are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment including shovel, pick, rake, sledge hammer, lawn mower, weed trimmer, leaf blower, chain saw and pump.
• Ability to operate mechanical equipment including dump truck, tractor, utility vehicle, marker trailer, dump trailer, jack hammer, tamper and backhoe.
• Ability to measure accurately with tape measure, yardstick, etc.
• Ability to communicate effectively with associates, contractors and client families.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
• Understand safety and security issues and implications.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Performs openings & closings for burials, entombments and inurnments.
• Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markers.
• Installs outer burial containers.
• Handles and completes work orders from client families.
• Responds to and completes requests for service/work orders.
• Conducts Interment Verification Procedures.
• Prepares burial area within 25 ft radius and keeps area clean and neat.
• Fills grave, tamps, seeds or sods.
• Adheres to safety rules and universal precautions.
• Maintains and protects company assets via preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Completes Dignity University courses and other training.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
