Job summary

Sci Corp is seeking an entry-level associate in Covington, LA to learn and perform manual labor for cemetery burials, monuments, and services. You will assist with setup, equipment maintenance, and outdoor maintenance in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record to operate company vehicles.
• Ability to use manual hand tools.
• Ability to drive ATVs with hitched trailers.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills to record timesheets and required training.
• Process and continual improvement drive.

Responsibilities

• Learning to perform a variety of manual labor related to funeral and cemetery industry, including burying and openings/closings.
• Learns proper use and maintenance of jackhammers, tamps, equipment, and tools.
• Loads, hauls, and unloads various equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Sets up tents, turf and chairs for services; cleans and stores; empties garbage cans.
• May perform Grounds Keeping duties like mowing lawns and clearing debris.
• Maintains tools, tents, chairs, and vehicles in safe working order; reports repairs.
• Adheres to safety policies and completes required training before deadline.
