NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a Cemetery Caretaker for Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, CA. Our maintenance teams take pride in keeping grounds tidy and respectful, ensuring every family's experience is honored.

The role involves lawn care, trimming, sod, debris removal, and general facilities upkeep. Candidates should have at least 6 months of grounds maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience in grounds keeping or maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Cuts grass.
• Maintains lawn and trims around trees, walkways, and memorial markers.
• Lays sod.
• Moves and removes flowers to and from the chapel and graveside.
• Blows leaf and grass.
• Edges with stick edger.
• Clears debris and maintains drives and walkways in a safe condition.
• Cleans ponds and fountains.
• Hand digs/trenching.
• Facilities Cleaning: Maintains overall appearance and cleanliness of funeral homes and/or mausoleum facilities; performs minor repairs, painting, etc.
• Assists in loading and unloading caskets.
• Vehicle and golf cart washing/cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Cuts grass.
• Maintains lawn and trims around trees, walkways, and memorial markers

Compensation

$18-$22/hr.
