Qualifications

  • 8+ years cemetery maintenance experience with increasing responsibilities.
  • 2+ years supervising and managing staff.
  • Environmental regulatory compliance experience.
  • New Construction / capital expenditure developmental experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations of multiple cemeteries; establish work, quality, and safety expectations and ensure services exceed customer expectations.
  • Coordinate staff work and time-off schedules to ensure coverage and minimize overtime.
  • Manage grounds keeping, landscaping, and seasonal plantings for a manicured appearance; ensure compliance with environmental and wildlife regulations.
  • Build relationships with local authorities to resolve issues quickly.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies; support change initiatives; source and select vendors and manage inventory and invoices.
  • Develop annual operating, personnel, and management expense budgets; plan for equipment replacement.
