Job summary

Apple is seeking expert and highly self-motivated system engineers to work on cellular power optimization. You will join a team tasked with design and delivery of power-efficient architectures for cellular products, and work across disciplines from requirements to commercialization.

As part of the systems engineering group, you will define system specifications, propose innovative ideas, and drive optimizations to meet product goals, collaborating closely with HW, SW, and FW teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field with 10+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of cellular communication technologies including 5G.
• Experience with power optimization methodologies and system power architecture.

Description

As a member of systems engineering team working on cellular power, you will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to work on the most interesting and challenging problems related to power architecture and optimization. In our team, we have the mission to design and deliver most power efficient design for the cellular products. In this role you will be working cross-functionally across many disciplines to drive the optimal power architecture starting with the product requirements all the way to commercialization. You will work on defining system level specifications, proposing innovative ideas, defining power architecture, and driving the power optimizations to meet the product requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field with 10+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of cellular communication technologies including 5G.
• Experience on working with power optimization methodologies and familiarity with system power architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with power breakdown and power waveform analysis.
• Experience with pre‑Silicon power modeling.
• Experience in end‑to‑end timeline analysis and defining the interactions between HW, SW, and FW.
• Familiarity with 6G.
• Knowledge of modem architecture including baseband and RF components.
• Experience with thermal analysis and mitigation techniques.
