Job summary

Merck is offering a Future Talent Program internship in Boston within our Research and Development Division. The role develops cellular biology and biochemistry skills through hands-on projects to assess cellular signaling and mechanisms of action.

Ideal candidates are enrolled undergrad/grad students in biological sciences with strong communications, a GPA of 3.2+, and interest in translational therapeutics. Full-time summer commitment June–August 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as undergraduate or graduate student in biological sciences or related field.
• GPA 3.2 or higher.
• Experience with mammalian cell culture and molecular biology.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to investigate cellular aspects of in vitro pharmacology.
• Conduct cell-based assays to assess potency and signaling.
• Operate liquid handling stations and plate readers.
• Analyze and interpret data, troubleshoot experiments.
• Communicate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
