Job summary

Lyell Immunopharma seeks a highly motivated Manager, Quality Control – Cell Therapy to lead QC operations at the LyFE facility in Bothell, WA. This onsite role ensures GMP compliance, oversees analytical testing and environmental monitoring, and drives method lifecycle management to support clinical and commercial manufacturing.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc with extensive experience in GMP environments relevant to cell therapy.
• Minimum 10 years in GMP biopharma with 5+ years in cell therapy.
• Solid understanding of cell therapy release testing assays is required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule day-to-day QC lab operations supporting release and in-process testing.
• Oversee analytical assays such as flow cytometry, ddPCR, sterility, endotoxin, mycoplasma, viability, vector copy number, and potency.
• Manage Contamination Control Program for the site and ensure timely testing and release of materials.
