Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Media Process Technician I to join a team manufacturing dehydrated and liquid cell culture media. The role requires following batch records, weighing materials from micrograms to kilograms, calibrating equipment, and adhering to GMP and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months in a fast-paced lab environment or manufacturing.
• Able to read, write and follow testing procedures; maintain neat records and logs.
• Basic experience weighing multiple components; ability to lift ~40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Staging and weighing of raw materials within weight tolerances, milling, blending and aseptic liquid filling.
• Documenting procedures and process controls in accordance with GMP and production schedules.
• Operate equipment and perform maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting.
• Perform basic testing (osmolality, pH, turbidity) and keep related logs up to date.
• Use pipettors, balances, osmometer, turbidimeter and pH meters; ensure safe operations.
