Job summary

AECOM is currently seeking a CEI Construction Services Inspector to join our transportation team in the Orlando, Florida area. This position offers the opportunity to work on roadway and bridge construction projects while delivering high-quality construction engineering and inspection services.

Responsibilities include inspecting construction work and conducting field tests for contract compliance, supporting the Senior CEI Inspector, monitoring quality and specifications, maintaining inspection

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 2 years of related experience or equivalent experience/education.
• Valid U.S Driver’s License required to visit project sites and offices; MVR review may be required.
• US Citizenship required due to project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction work and conduct field tests for contract compliance.
• Assist Senior CEI Inspector in duties and review work in progress.
• Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements.
• Perform daily field inspections and maintain inspection records.
• Participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
• Track quality assurance progress.
• Conduct road and bridge construction inspections.
• Monitor on-site construction activities.
• Conduct inspections, observations and material tests; check construction work.
• Communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
• Receive general supervision from Senior Inspector.

Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a CEI Construction Services Inspector to join our transportation team in the Orlando, Florida area. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure projects, including roadway and bridge construction, while supporting the delivery of high-quality construction engineering and inspection services.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• The Inspector will be responsible for inspecting construction work and conducting field tests for compliance with contract documents
• Responsible for performing assignments assisting Senior CEI Inspector in the performance of their duties and who reviews work while in progress
• Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties
• Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
• Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning
• Tracks quality assurance progress
• Construction inspection of roadway and bridge construction
• Monitoring on site construction activities
• Conduct inspections, observations and run materials tests and checking construction work
• Communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
• Receiving general supervision from and assisting the Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 2 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Valid U.S Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
• Due to the projects associated with the position a US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• FDEP Stormwater Inspector Certification
• CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
• CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
• IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
• Nuclear Radiation Safety

*Relevant certifications are essential for ongoing advancement and enhanced opportunities for assignments*

Additional Information

Occasional overnight work and/or assignments outside of employee’s primary location may be required
