Job summary

The Division of Hematology-Oncology at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, seeks an Assistant Professor in the non-tenure clinician-educator track to advance melanoma and skin cancer immunotherapy programs.

The candidate will teach fellows, residents, and students; provide education, mentorship, and translational research contributions; and care for patients in outpatient and inpatient settings at HUP.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent degree required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology preferred.
• Experience in hematology-oncology education is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach hematology/oncology fellows, residents and students.
• Provide education, mentorship and research support to fellows.
• Care for melanoma and skin cancer patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.

The Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicineat the Perelman School of Medicine at the UniversityofPennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor positionin the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants should be board certified orboard eligible in Medical Oncology.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching hematology/oncologyfellows, medical residents and medical students. Additionally, thesuccessful applicant will be expected to provide education,mentorship, and research support to hematology/oncologyfellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include caring for patients withmelanoma and other skin cancers in an outpatient setting and as anattending on the inpatient service (solid oncology, cellularimmunotherapy, or both) at the Hospital of the UniversityofPennsylvania (HUP).

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include focusing ontranslational research to enhance the melanoma and skin cancersimmunotherapy research program. Scholarly productivity is requiredon the clinician educator track.

The selected candidate will have an interest in translationalresearch aimed at advancing our melanoma and skin cancerimmunotherapy research program. Faculty on the Clinician-Educatorare expected to demonstrate a strong record of scholarlyproductivity.
