Job summary

Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co in Pennsylvania is seeking a Construction Equipment Shop Technician to diagnose and repair diesel engines and a broad range of earthmoving and construction equipment. You will be trained with specialty tools to succeed as one of the region’s leading Cat® dealers.

The role works in an industrial shop environment, requiring strong communication with customers, routine engine overhauls, and hands-on work with hydraulics, electronics and other heavy systems.

Qualifications

• Experience across technical schools, military background, or other job experience.
• Knowledge of diesel engines is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment independently and successfully.
• Overhaul engines and other major components.
• Work on heavy equipment and keep customers informed.

Construction Equipment Shop Technician

Cleveland Brothers, the largest Cat® dealer in Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and western Maryland, has an immediate opportunity for a Construction Equipment Shop Technician.

Position Summary

Cleveland Brothers Caterpillar is seeking highly skilled Diesel Technicians for shop positions working on Diesel engines or construction equipment as well as other supporting equipment.

The focus of this position will be to provide Diesel Engine and other mechanical repairs on a wide range of customers from the mining, construction and paving industries.

Cleveland Brothers will provide you the necessary training and specialty tools to be successful as a technician working for the largest equipment company in Pennsylvania.

Primary Responsibilities

The successful applicant must have relevant working experience and be able to operate and maintain all types of earthmoving and construction equipment. The successful candidate must also have good human relations skills and abilities as well as the personality to successfully communicate, and problem solve with customers. Customer satisfaction is of primary concern.

The Essential Functions Of This Position Include The Following

• Independently and successfully diagnose and repair equipment
• Overhaul engines and other major components
• Previous experience working on heavy equipment
• Knowledge of diesel engines
• Knowledge of hydraulics
• Knowledge of electronics
• Intermediate computer skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

As a Shop Mechanic / Technician you are required to work in an industrial environment which includes exposure to significant environmental conditions.

Physical Requirements Include

• Overall stamina
• Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing
• Carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching
• Listening and speaking
• Must have good motor coordination skills
• Coordination of eyes, hands, and feet
• Verbal intelligence and numerical intelligence
• The workplace environmental conditions include subject to noise, heat, cold, injury exposures, and atmospheric exposures
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Work overtime as needed
