Job summary

Lone Star College is seeking an Electrocardiography Adjunct Faculty member to facilitate student learning by developing and teaching courses in Electrocardiography. Job Overview

Electrocardiography Adjunct Faculty. Provide learning activities and support that facilitate student learning, contribute to the educational environment, and plan, develop, and teach courses within the curriculum.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Teach Electrocardiography courses at various times and locations.
  2. Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of material.
  3. Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
  4. Utilize a course syllabus following institutional guidelines.
  5. Meet with and advise students before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods.
  6. Evaluate students to measure progress toward course objectives and inform students in a timely manner.
  7. Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
  8. Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
  9. Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned.

Physical Abilities

The work is sedentary. May require walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, and occasional driving. No special physical demands are required.

Work Schedule and Conditions
  • Use PC workstation, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment.
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed.
  • Work in a climate‑controlled classroom or lab with minimal safety hazards.
  • Schedule varies by class time; instructors must meet at scheduled times and be available to students outside of class.
Required Qualifications
  • ACA EKG certification or equivalent.
  • At least three years of related job experience with advanced knowledge of telemetry, EKGs (12‑Lead and Holter monitoring).
  • BCLS or ACLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AHA CPR certification.
  • RN or LVN license.
Salary

$55.44 per contact hour.
