Aventura at Oakwood Village in Springfield, Ohio is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to oversee the dietary department and support the Dietitian in planning, organizing, and directing daily operations in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a Certified Dietary Manager (required).
• Graduate of an accredited course in dietetic training approved by the American Dietetic Association.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a hospital or nursing facility.
• Training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.
• Must be registered as a Food Service Director in this state.
• Must know dietary practices and state regulations for long-term care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates dietary services with Nursing, Housekeeping, Social Services and other departments.
• Assist in developing departmental policies, procedures, equipment and supplies.
• Develop preliminary and comprehensive dietary assessments for residents.
• Develop written dietary plans of care and set goals for each resident.
• Schedule care plans and assessments for committee meetings.
• Ensure care plans are used in daily dietary services and identify needed equipment.
• Inspect storage and kitchen areas for upkeep and sanitation.
• Review and revise care plans quarterly as necessary.
• Provide substitute foods of similar nutritive value when residents refuse meals.
