Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Configuration & Data Management Assistant in Sterling, VA, to support CDM tasks including data entry, configuration records, and change documentation. This contract role is onsite five days a week, closely collaborating with engineers and program teams.

Ideal candidates bring 0–2 years of related experience or 4+ years in lieu of a degree, proficiency in MS Office, ERP, Jira and PDM, and strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 0–2+ years experience, or 4+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Strong data-entry, organization, and database updating abilities.
• Experience with PLM/QMS systems such as Jira, TIPQA, SharePoint, PDM and Business Central.

Responsibilities

• Manage configuration baselines and product structures.
• Perform data entry across multiple systems.
• Create and distribute document and part numbers for programs.
• Assist with root cause analysis for CDM issues.
• Interface with customers, auditors, and program teams.
