Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Semi-Local Freight Driver with a focus on reliable, no-touch freight and home weekly schedules. The role covers North Dakota and Minnesota, with occasional runs outside those states and an emphasis on on-time deliveries.

Earn $85,000–$108,000 per year, with weekly pay and PTO accrual starting immediately. Online orientation is provided; drivers work a Friday–Tuesday shift with 10–12 hour days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of verifiable truck driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• DOT Medical Card and clean driving record required.
• No SAP drivers and ability to meet strict delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Deliver freight from North Dakota and Minnesota with 100% no-touch freight.
• Follow customer procedures for checking in loaded trailers and placing dropped trailers.
• Ensure timely deliveries and assist other accounts when freight volume is low.
• On-site management available Monday–Friday with after-hours support.

CDL-A Semi-Local Freight Driver – Good Pay | Home Weekly

Earn $85,000–$108,000 per year hauling no-touch, service-sensitive freight from North Dakota and Minnesota. This dedicated position offers online orientation, a consistent Friday–Tuesday schedule, and potential home time during the week.

Pay Details

• Average Weekly Pay: Approximately $1,700–$2,100
• Miles/Week: Approximately 2,500
• PTO accrual begins immediately:
  • 1.5 hours per week initially
  • 2.3 hours per week after 6 years
  • 3 hours per week after 19 years

Job Details

• Deliver freight from distribution locations in North Dakota and Minnesota.
• Occasional runs may extend outside those states.
• 100% no-touch freight.
• Deliveries are service-sensitive and must be completed on time.
• Follow customer procedures for checking in loaded trailers and placing dropped trailers.
• An empty trailer is required before departing the terminal for each run.
• Assist other accounts in the area when freight volume is low.
• On-site management is available Monday–Friday, with after-hours support.

Shift Details

• Friday–Tuesday schedule
• Wednesday and Thursday off
• Start time: 7:00 AM
• Approximately 10–12-hour shifts
• Potential to be home one night per week, depending on routes, weather, and traffic
• Drivers may park at the company terminal near Elwood, Illinois

Job Requirements
