Job summary

Herman N Logistics is seeking a CDL-A driver for local Chicago-area routes with home daily time. You will operate automatic transmission trucks on a dedicated retail fleet, with most freight drop-and-hook and a round trip of about 91 miles.

The role requires a valid CDL-A, 3 months of experience, a clean driving record, and will include night shifts, a six-day workweek, and a 34-hour reset. Pallet-jack unloading is paid where needed.

Earn approximately $79,976 annually while delivering retail freight on consistent local routes. This dedicated position offers daily home time, automatic trucks, and mostly drop-and-hook freight.

Pay Details

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,450
• CPM pay

Job Details

• Deliver retail freight on local routes in the Chicago area.
• Longest round trip is approximately 91 miles.
• Complete a minimum of two loads per day.
• Approximately 95% drop-and-hook freight.
• Approximately 5% of deliveries require pallet-jack unloading.
• Pallet-jack unloading is paid.

Shift Details

• Home Time: Home daily
• Six-day workweek followed by a 34-hour reset
• Set days off may become available in the future.
• Night driving is required.

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
