Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A local truck driver for a dedicated Northeast account. You will earn $87,000 per year plus a $10,000 bonus with a Thursday–Monday schedule and no-touch freight.

The role covers CT, MA, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, and VT with about 1,697 miles weekly and no NYC deliveries. Slip-seat operation; boots and hazmat requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience.
• Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days of hire.
• Steel-toe boots required, including during training.
• Reliable transportation to and from work daily.
• Hazmat endorsement costs reimbursed after hire when required

Responsibilities

• Deliver HD freight on a dedicated local account throughout the Northeast.
• No NYC deliveries.
• Slip-seat operation with ~1,697 miles per week.
• Backhauls for return to the distribution center; 2 loads per day on average.

Job Details

• Approximately 1,697 miles per week
• Deliver HD freight from the Westfield DC to stores and distribution centers
• Service areas include CT, MA, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, and VT
• NO NYC deliveries
• Pick up backhauls for return to the distribution center
• Approximately 2 loads per day plus a backhaul
• No-touch freight
• Approximately 90% of backhauls are live load
• Slip-seat operation

• Start times between 5:00 AM-9:00 AM

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience
• HAZMAT endorsement required within 60 days of hire
