Job summary

Staker Parson Companies is seeking a Water Truck Driver with CDL-B and tanker endorsement to deliver water to dirt and paving crews. You will record time and materials, follow instructions, and communicate on-site via radio. You must maintain safety and operate equipment efficiently on busy construction sites.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL-B with Tanker endorsement and a DOT medical card. Prior truck driving and dust-control duties are a plus in this role.

Qualifications

  • CDL-B or higher preferred.
  • Tanker endorsement required.
  • DOT Medical Card required.
  • Ability to communicate via radio while driving.
  • Good basic math and computer skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Water Trucks on job sites.
  • Deliver water to dirt, paving, and pit areas for dust control.

Position Overview

This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of Water Trucks.Drivers will deliver water to dirt crews. Paving crews and pit areas for dust control and grade work.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
  • Can operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Must keep time and material records.
  • Must follow verbal and written instruction.
  • Knowledge of different types material and grades they are spraying.
  • Ability for maneuvering and backing.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively on the radio system.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, License, Registrations

  • Must possess a valid state Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with Tanker endorsement.
  • Must possess a valid Medical Card as per DOT standard.

Work Requirements

  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Incident free driving record preferred
  • May be subject drug, alcohol, physical agilities testing.

The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to signal and handle equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
