Job summary

Republic Services in Lexington, KY seeks a Driver - CDL B to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal for customers. You will inspect the vehicle and ensure compliance with safety standards daily.

On route, you will read maps, service each customer, load refuse, and complete reports such as VCRs and productivity sheets. You will uphold company safety policies and maintain vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement required.
• Safety-conscious with adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated route and service each customer as identified on route sheet or by dispatcher.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of material at the facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure routes are serviced on time and professionally.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers as required.
