Penske Truck Leasing seeks qualified applicants to fill the Hiker (Vehicle Transporter/Truck Driver) role at 23334 S Frontage Rd W, Channahon, IL 60410. This casual/on-call part-time position moves box trucks up to 26’ and may involve tractors for CDL A holders.

Shifts are mornings, 6:30 a.m. to noon, Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday. Pay is $21 per hour. The role is DOT-regulated, requires English proficiency, a valid CDL B, and up to 25 hours weekly depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• 2 years of driving experience required.
• 2 years of a clean DMV record required.
• Valid Class B CDL; US domicile and license.
• CDL Class A license preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Independent worker with customer service skills.
• English proficiency required per DOT rules.
• Willingness to travel and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures while driving to Penske locations.
• Check vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and report.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or damage.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
