Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a dependable Truck Washer (CDL Class A required) to join our team in a full-time capacity. The role involves washing and maintaining commercial trucks and assisting with basic shop duties.

You will participate in a rotating on-call schedule and have opportunities for overtime, with a first-shift schedule of 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, plus a half-day on Saturday. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, is willing to learn, and can operate safely around

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Experience in truck washing or CV maintenance preferred but not required.
• Must own basic hand tools or be willing to purchase them.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean commercial trucks and trailers to standards.
• Inspect vehicles and report damage or maintenance concerns.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and assist with minor mechanical tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Operate equipment safely and follow safety procedures.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule (~1 week/month).
• Overtime as needed to meet operational demands.

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $17.00–$24.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, plus a half-day on Saturday. Overtime opportunities available.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Truck Washer to join our team. This position is responsible for washing and maintaining commercial trucks while assisting with basic shop duties as needed. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, takes pride in quality work, and is willing to learn and grow within the company.

This role also participates in a rotating on-call schedule (approximately once per month) with the rest of the team.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean commercial trucks and trailers to company standards.
• Inspect vehicles during cleaning and report any visible damage or maintenance concerns.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and assist with minor mechanical tasks as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Operate equipment safely and follow all company safety procedures.
• Participate in the rotating on-call schedule (approximately one week/month, shared among the team).
• Work overtime when needed to meet operational demands.

• Previous truck washing, detailing, or commercial vehicle experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus; willingness to learn is equally important.
