Job summary

Freshpack is seeking a Truck Driver to move materials between our North and South plants, handle deliveries, and keep operations running smoothly. You will assemble and load the truck, complete paperwork, and ensure proper labeling and placement of materials.

The role requires a valid CDL-B, DOT medical card, and forklift experience, plus strong communication and computer skills. Expect physical work with heavy lifting and routine inspections.

Qualifications

• Hold and maintain a valid CDL - Class B license.
• Holds a current DOT medical card.
• At least 1 year of forklift experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient reading, writing and math; comfortable with computers.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs+ on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the company truck to transfer materials between the North and South plants.
• Pick up and deliver materials to and from local vendors as needed.
• Assemble, load, and unload materials, ensuring correct placement in the plant.
• Complete all required paperwork and computer entries accurately and on time.
• Maintain proper labeling of skids and update racks with correct tags.
• Monitor product temperatures daily and communicate any issues to the maintenance department.
• Perform basic truck and equipment checks, including oil levels, inspections, and cleanliness.
• Maintain an organized workspace to support production and shipping & receiving efficiency.
• Cross-train for other roles within the Shipping & Receiving department.
• Assist in production work when S&R tasks are complete.
• Sweep and maintain cleanliness in coolers and dock areas.
• Prepare for incoming products to streamline the receiving process.
