Dimension is seeking its first licensed CDL Driver to join our San Francisco, CA team. Drive a boxed truck on a weekly California route, collecting hazmat items from customer sites and delivering to our East Bay warehouse and California end facilities. Overnight stays in Southern California may occur once or twice a month.

You will ensure safety, communicate professionally with customers, and complete all logs and paperwork while possibly helping with light warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with hazmat endorsement required.
• Ability to lift 75–100 pounds repeatedly.
• Experience transporting hazmat items.
• Pre-employment and random drug screens required.
• Fluent English speaker.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• No DOT-recordable accidents in past year.
• No major violations in past 3–5 years.
• Willing to learn new tech tools.
• Willing to meet weekly in SF office near Montgomery BART.

Responsibilities

• Operate a boxed truck on a weekly California route to pick up hazmat items from customer sites and deliver to the warehouse in the East Bay and end facilities in California.
• Conduct friendly and professional customer interactions.
• Maintain safe work zones at each job site and adhere to schedules and directives.
• Document every delivery with waste documents and secure all cargo.
• Perform thorough pre-trip load checks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Complete logs and government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Possible light warehouse work including loading/unloading as assigned.
• Occasionally stay overnight in Southern California (once or twice a month).

Dimension is looking for the company's first licensed CDL Driver to join our team in San Francisco, CA and drive a boxed truck. You will have a predictable and not too demanding schedule to drive a routine route on a weekly basis, within California.

As the CDL Driver, you will be:

• TLDR for this role: You will be driving a boxed truck and stopping by a few customer locations in California on a weekly basis to pickup well-packaged hazmat items from customer sites and deliver them to our warehouse in the East Bay as well as the end facilities in California. Occasionally (once or twice a month), the work involves staying overnight in Southern CA.
• Treating customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Conducting a safe work zone during each job site
• Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely
• Documenting every step of each delivery, including handing customer their waste documentations
• Completing a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the location, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
• Completing and filing all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner
• Responsibilities may include light warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials on to or off of trucks or into warehouse as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

• TLDR for the ideal candidate: a reliable and responsible driver that is also a good communicator to both customers and internal team, and great with learning new tech products. We are a technology company and you will need to learn a few tools to work this job efficiently.
• Valid Class A or B CDL license with hazmat endorsement is required.
• The ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (your most common cargo will be 70 pound bundles of shingles)
• Some previous experience transporting hazmat items is required.
• Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required
• Fluent English speaker. You will need to be able to communicate to customers in a friendly manner.
• Willingness to load/ package customer items if requested.
• Willing to meet in the teammates once a week for a half day in San Francisco office (downtown right outside the Montgomery BART station).
• At least 2-3 years of CDL driving experience, with safe driving records. Have a minimum of one year of recent, verifiable commercial driving experience within the past 5 years.
• Possess a current, valid DOT Medical Card.
• In the past year, have NO DOT-RECORDABLE ACCIDENTS.
• In the past three years: Have no more than one major moving violation (no careless/negligent driving) and no more than three moving violations of any kind. Have no more than two preventable accidents.
• In the past five years, have no license suspensions or revocations due to moving violations, no record of operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked license, or no conviction of reckless driving.
• In the past seven years, no driving under the influence (DUI/DWI), no leaving the scene of an accident, or no record of a moving violation in connection with a fatal accident.
• We are unable to sponsor work visa at this moment.
• Not required but highly preferred: previous experience labpacking chemicals.
