Job summary

DLF North America in Lansing, MI is seeking a Truck Driver to transport goods between company locations, growers, and customers, with hands-on duties at unmanned warehouses and pallet management.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, assist with equipment handling, ensure safety and accuracy, and maintain delivery documentation, reporting to the Traffic and Logistic Manager. This role requires self-sufficiency and commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Valid CDL and clean driving record are required.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain.
• Strong verbal, written, listening and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, prioritization skills and attention to detail.
• 1+ years of similar experience in increasingly responsible roles.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and DOT regulations.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to perform calculations.
• Dependable with a good work ethic.
• Ability to work overtime hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods and pallets between company locations, growers, and customers.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle is in good working order.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety policies; provide proof of delivery as required.
• Manage unmanned warehouse tasks: loading/unloading, inventory checks, pallet handling, and housekeeping.
• Assist with loading, securing, and unloading equipment; ensure safe handling during transport.
• Track pallet counts and coordinate with growers for pallet returns and discrepancies.
• Complete trip documentation accurately and report any issues promptly.
