Job summary

The RPM Wood Finishes Group is seeking a professional truck driver for deliveries and pick-ups of finished products and drums. You will perform pre-trip safety checks, load and unload as needed, and maintain accurate DOT logs.

You may also drive and operate a forklift where required, ensuring compliance with all DOT and company procedures. Required qualifications include a valid CDL with tanker/hazmat endorsements, at least five years of tractor-trailer experience, and a current DOT medical

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• At least 5 years prior experience driving tractor-trailer/tanker unit.
• Hazardous material endorsement.
• Current CDL license with tanker/hazmat endorsements.
• Current DOT medical card and identification as required.
• Acceptable driving record for past seven years per DOT.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver material to customer's location.
• Assist in loading trailer according to bills of lading.
• Trailer should be loaded in order that best accommodates stops.
• Check truck according to "Driver's Daily Check List" and make adjustments.
• Assist in unloading at customer site if required and obtain customer signature.
• Pick up empty drums as instructed and unload them at plant.
• Complete DOT driver log sheets.
• Return shipping paperwork to shipping office.
