Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking a CDL Class A driver for routes in Kentucky, Huntsville, and S. Georgia/E. Tennessee. The position is full-time with a home weekly schedule and a weekly average pay of $1,404, plus a quarterly bonus and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include safe operation, pre/post-trip inspections, cargo securing, delivery per manifest, and proof of delivery signatures. Candidates need 18–21 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CDL Class A license with current status is required.
• Minimum 18–21 months verifiable tractor trailer experience in past 3 years.
• Clean driving record with no DUIs in past 7 years and no serious violations.

Responsibilities

• Operates tractor/trailer per Company Policies, DOT guidelines and laws.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections and secures cargo.
• Delivers product according to route and schedule on manifest.
• Obtains customer signatures and submits proof of delivery.

Weekly Average $1,404 plus a quarterly bonus and a $5,000 Sign On Bonus

AVAILABLE ROUTE -

Kentucky / Huntsville and S. Georgia / E. Tennessee

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates tractor/trailer in accordance with Company Policies, DOT Guidelines, and traffic laws.
• Conducts and documents pre- and post-trip inspections on truck and trailer.
• Responsible for securing cargo on trailer.
• Makes product deliveries according to proper route and schedule as indicated on the manifest.
• Ensure product accuracy and quality by scanning product tag numbers with a scanner and visually inspecting product as it is unloaded from the trailer.
• Obtains customer signatures on proof of delivery and submits to the dispatcher as required.
• Clean and sweep truck and trailer as needed.
• Operate and maintain a ‘Mobile Electronic Onboard Recording’ device.
• Report truck, trailer, equipment, and material problems and/or damage, accidents, and traffic violations promptly to Woodgrain.
• Maintains a clean and professional appearance.
• Attends departmental staff and safety meetings.
• Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear
• Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to pull a 175 Lb. trailer curtain open and closed at each stop as well as un-strap and re-strap to secure the remaining load

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 21 years of age
• 18- months verifiable tractor trailer commercial driving experience within the past 3years required
• Over the Road drivers - 2 years verifiable tractor trailer commercial driving experience within the past 3 years required
• No more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years and no more than 3
• within the past 7 years
• No DUIs within the last 7 years
• No reckless driving, speeding 15mph and over, leaving the scene of an accident in the past 3 years
• No at-fault DOT recordable accidents in the past 3 years
• Current Class A CDL required
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• High level attention to detail
