Job summary

Continental Fire Sprinkler Company is seeking an experienced Driver in Idaho to load, unload, and transport materials between company work sites. This role requires a CDL and the ability to operate medium to large trucks on private roads and public highways.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and ensure cargo is secured and properly documented. Ability to work overtime, nights, or weekends may be required based on workload.

Qualifications

• Commercial driving experience required or equivalent.
• Able to read and follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
• Able to operate hand and power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate medium to large sized trucks, transporting materials between company work sites using private roads and driving on public highways.
• Load and unload trucks, using other equipment as necessary, such as forklifts.
• Secure cargo for transport, using rope, blocks, or covers.
• Obtain proper and complete documentation prior to moving materials.
• Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections and report any defects, damage, or repairs needed.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or fluids.
• Maintain logs of working hours, or of vehicle maintenance, following applicable state and federal regulations.
