Job summary

Herc Rentals Inc. is seeking a Truck Driver to transport, deliver, and retrieve construction and heavy equipment across our North American network.

The role requires operating both commercial and non-commercial vehicles, performing DOT inspections, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of driving experience or a valid CDL, and a valid DOT medical card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience, or a valid CDL.
• Valid DOT medical card.
• Trailer towing or rollback experience preferred.
• Construction equipment operating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport, deliver, and retrieve various construction materials and heavy equipment.
• Operate commercial and non-commercial vehicles.
• Perform DOT-required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain delivery documents for inspection upon request.
• Secure equipment and loads using chaining, strapping, and binding per DOT procedures.
• Communicate delivery schedules, delays, and traffic conditions to Branch Manager/dispatch.
• Contribute to Herc Rentals safety culture and prioritize safety of people.
• Follow company procedures and protocols.
• Build positive relationships with customers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
