Job summary

Northway Transport Refrigeration is seeking a dependable Local Truck Driver to join our team. You will safely deliver and pick up trailers and units within Western Massachusetts and Eastern New York, with no overnight travel and a stable daytime schedule.

The role requires a valid CDL, strong time-management and communication skills, and a commitment to safety. You'll assist shop staff as needed and document deliveries and inspections to support operational excellence.

Qualifications

• CDL valid and active.
• Ability to manage time and work independently.
• Excellent communication with dispatchers and customers.
• Strong focus on safety and compliance.
• Prior experience with tractor-trailers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver and pick up trailers and units within Western Massachusetts and Eastern New York.
• Perform and document pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Capture photos of delivered and received units for records.
• Complete delivery/pickup paperwork accurately.
• Comply with traffic laws and driving policies.
• Assist shop technicians with daily tasks when not on the road.
• Support building maintenance as needed.
• Pick up parts from local vendors.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on company vehicles.

Qualifications
