Compass Transportation in Chicago, IL is seeking School Bus Drivers to join our team immediately. We offer paid CDL training at absolutely no cost to you.

Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening, hold a valid IL driver’s license for at least 3 years, and be ready for mornings and afternoons. As a School Bus Driver, you will transport students safely on assigned routes, check the bus before trips, keep students comfortable, and communicate professionally with students, parents,

Qualifications

• Clean background
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Valid U.S. (IL) driver’s license held for at least 3 years with no suspensions
• Class B CDL License with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements (paid training available at no cost)
• Willingness to work morning and afternoon shifts as assigned
• Available to work a minimum of 25 hours per week, up to 40 hours depending on route assignments
• Willing to work on charter trips as needed
• Bring a copy of your MVR to the interview

Responsibilities

• Drive the school bus safely following traffic laws and company rules
• Keep students safe and comfortable during the ride
• Stick to assigned AM & PM routes and schedules for pickups and drop-offs
• Check the bus before and after each trip to make sure it's working well
• Keep the bus clean and tidy inside
• Speak professionally with students, parents, and school staff
• Handle any concerns with student behavior calmly and politely
• Go to required training and meetings
