Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a CDL Training Instructor to join the Moving I-4 Forward facility in Kissimmee, FL. This embedded role requires 85% travel across Florida, delivering classroom and hands-on CDL Class A instruction and mentoring trainees.

You will develop curricula aligned with OSHA and industry standards, monitor progress, and prepare candidates for CDL exams, while supporting job placement through collaboration with program staff and partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in transportation, highway construction, or related field.
• CDL Class A with clean driving record.
• Experience delivering training or mentoring in workforce development.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
• Ability to operate and instruct on heavy equipment and CDL vehicles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with simulator-based training preferred.

Your role

About You

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation, highway construction, or related field.
• High school diploma (or equivalent) plus eight years related experience OR an Associates
• Degree in a related technical field plus six years related experience is required.
• Valid CDL Class A License with a clean driving record.
• Experience delivering training or mentoring in a workforce development or technical education setting.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
• Ability to operate and instruct on heavy equipment and CDL vehicles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with simulator-based training preferred.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $31.25-$33.65 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
