Job summary

Vortex Companies is seeking a CDL Technician to join our fast-growing infrastructure team in Maine. Our drivers operate and inspect sewer and storm water assets, with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

The role involves manual labor, vehicle operation, entry into manholes, pump watch, and collaboration with crews to inspect, clean, repair and rehabilitate pipes. Applicants should have a Class A/B CDL, tanker endorsement preferred, and DOT pre-employment requirements.

Qualifications

• Preferred 3–5 years operating Class A/B vehicles, preferably Vac Truck.
• Tanker endorsement required or willing to obtain.
• Must pass DOT physical, pre-employment drug test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Manual labor tasks (lifting, carrying, dragging or pulling material, etc.).
• Equipment driving and operation.
• Entry into manhole and underground structures.
• Pump watch and operation.
