Job summary

South Central FS in Greenville, IL is seeking a Custom Applicator to operate sprayers and trucks for applying crop inputs. A CDL with Hazmat and tanker endorsements, a valid DOT medical card, and pesticide/fertilizer applicator licenses are required or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain CDL with Hazmat and tanker endorsements and DOT medical card.
• Must hold pesticide or fertilizer applicator licenses in applicable states.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial sprayer or floater for applying crop inputs.
• Maintain CDL and medical card; comply with DOT standards.
• Record application data per regulations and standards.
• Set up material handling and delivery equipment for blending and delivery of products.
• Blends products per recommended rates and procedures.
• Perform daily safety checks on vehicles and equipment (pre-trip inspections).
• Load and unload containers safely; ensure proper weight distribution.
• Maintain inventory and records of parts and repairs.
• Adhere to safety rules, EHS, OSHA and DOT policies.
