Job summary

UniFirst Corporation is seeking a reliable CDL Shuttler & Transport Driver to join our UniFirst Family. You will transport and deliver production materials between plant and branch locations while operating a CDL vehicle with or without trailer.

Our 5-day work week includes Saturdays and Sundays off, with on-the-job training. We offer competitive hourly pay and benefits such as 401K with company match, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, a 30% employee

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year verifiable CDL driving experience (CDL-A).
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Safe driving record per Pre-employment policy.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen.
• FMCSA Clearing House registration.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and follow shipping information and load documents.
• Ability to operate and drive a tractor-trailer for extended periods.
• Ability to load and unload materials at destinations.
• Compliance with all DOT regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive an Interstate, CDL required vehicle and comply with all regulations.
• Transport product between branch and plant locations according to schedule.
• Load and unload the vehicle safely and ensure proper load distribution.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip safety inspections and complete DVIR.
• Follow safety policies and HACCP guidelines.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and appearance to UniFirst standards.
