Job summary

Mass Park Inc. in Worcester, MA is seeking a CDL Shuttle Driver for local, 11am-7pm, Monday to Friday. Shuttles include 14- and 25-passenger vehicles, mainly transporting hospital employees from parking areas.

This position requires a CDL with Passenger Endorsement, a DOT medical card, and a clean driving record. Applicants must be at least 20 years old with 3+ years licensed in the US; OT on weekends may be available.

Responsibilities

• Greet patrons politely and assist them as needed
• Safely shuttle customers to various destinations
• Open/close doors for patrons
• Follow traffic laws and ensure safe operation of shuttles
• Communicate with customers and staff via radio
• Complete pre-trip inspections and document passenger counts
• Complete daily paperwork and inspection reports
• Assist in equipment setup and breakdown; keep shuttles clean
• Report mechanical issues to management

We are seeking shuttle drivers to work in the Worcester area. These are steady, local routes. We operate walk-on 14 and 25 -passenger vehicles. These roles mostly transport hospital employees from their parking areas. We have partnered with UMass Memorial Medical Center since 1994, and are well established in the Worcester area.

This position requires a CDL (w/ P endorsement) - earn $24/hour to start. Other opportunities for non-CDL drivers may also be posted separately.

Currently, we are seeking a FT Driver to work 11am-7pm Monday through Friday, with the opportunity for OT on weekends as well.

Other hours are also available.

Shuttle Driver- Job Description

The job responsibilities of a Shuttle Driver may vary depending on the location where the employee is scheduled to work. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we can
• Safely shuttling customers to various destinations
• Opening and closing doors for patrons
• Adhering to all traffic laws/signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our shuttles
• Communicating effectively with customers and co-workers. This includes radio contact with management, shuttle drivers, and lot attendants
• Completing required pre-trip inspections to meet federal as well as company safety requirements
• Recording passenger counts and trip times
• Completing necessary paperwork involved in daily operations
• Assisting in equipment set up and break down (i.e. signs, cones, etc.)
• Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanliness
• Communicating mechanical problems with shuttles to management
• Complying with company procedures for shuttle operations

License required: valid CDL B or higher with Passenger Endorsed license in good standing

Due to our insurance regulations, shuttle drivers must be at least 20 years old, and have been licensed in the US for at least 3 years.

A valid DOT Medical card is also required. (We will pay for qualified applicants to obtain their medical card if necessary).

Professional driving experience is a plus.

Background checks and driving tests will be conducted.
