Job summary

ABM Industries is hiring a CDL Shuttle Driver to transport passengers at the UPS World Port facility in Louisville. You will operate a 40-passenger shuttle bus within a secure, high-traffic environment and ensure passenger safety and comfort throughout the trip.

The role requires CDL Class A or B with Passenger Endorsement, 21+ years old, and at least one year of CDL experience. ABM emphasizes veteran-friendly employment and provides a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• CDL - Class A or B valid.
• Passenger Endorsement required.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.
• One year of prior CDL driving experience required.

Responsibilities

• Transport passengers to designated pick-up and drop-off locations.
• Ensure safe loading and unloading, including wheelchair lifts and tie-downs.
• Inspect shuttle for preexisting damage and record information.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests.
• Maintain and enforce bus evacuation plan and coordinate evacuations as needed.
• Report incidents or claims to Operations Manager or Shift Lead.
• Refuel vehicle.
• Maintain a clean work environment and disinfect shuttle after use.
• Perform pre- and post-inspection to ensure safe operating conditions.

Responsibilities

***** Responsibilities for Internal Candidates

• Transport passengers to designated pick-up and drop-off locations
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of passengers,including the safe operation and handling of specialized equipment for unloading passengers with special needs (i.e. wheelchair lifts and tie-downs)
• Inspect shuttle for preexisting damage and record information using electronic device or manual ticket
• Provide excellent customer service to guests
• Maintain and enforce bus evacuation plan and coordinates bus evacuation activities as appropriate
• Immediately reports any incidents or claims to Operations Manager or Shift Lead
• Refuelvehicle
• Maintain a clean work environment, disinfecting shuttle after each use
• Performs pre-inspection and post-inspection activities to ensure proper operating conditions, adherence to prescribed Department of Transportation standards, and compliance with proper safety standards

• One (1) year of prior work experience as a CDL Driver is required
