Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a CDL Roll Off Driver to safely operate a Roll Off Truck on assigned routes, serving residential, commercial, and municipal customers with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

You will complete pre-trip/post-trip inspections, communicate with dispatch, and utilize onboard tech to document routes. The role requires outdoor work, teamwork, and flexibility for overtime across South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida regions.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and associated equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to safely climb, bend, squat, kneel, and enter/exit equipment throughout the workday.
• Willingness to work overtime and varying schedules as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Roll Off Truck on assigned routes.
• Service residential, commercial, industrial, or municipal customers based on assigned route.
• Collect, transport, deliver, exchange, or dispose of materials in accordance with operational procedures.
• Operate hydraulic equipment and vehicle controls safely and efficiently.
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Report mechanical concerns, safety issues, accidents, or route delays promptly.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations throughout the day.
• Utilize onboard technology and electronic devices to complete route documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle.

• Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
