Job summary

Amwaste of Georgia is seeking a CDL Roll-Off Driver to safely operate heavy-duty waste collection trucks on assigned routes, load and transport containers, and interact with customers to ensure courteous service.

This role requires performing pre- and post-trip inspections, following safety rules, and coordinating with Route Managers to optimize routes. No overnight travel is required, and advancement opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Be 21 years of age or older
• Have an acceptable driving record
• Have a valid CDL class B license
• Have a valid Medical Card
• Legally eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicle in accordance with Amwaste safety rules and DOT requirements.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment.
• Immediately reports any unsafe situations or service-related issues to Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs and meetings.
• Works closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
• Notifies Route Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Completes end of day documentation and the checkout process.
