Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a CDL Residential Driver to join our Greenville, NC team. You will operate automated or side-load residential trucks on assigned routes and perform pre/post-trip safety checks.

We offer local schedules, home every evening, and a benefits package (health, dental, vision, life, PTO). A CDL Class A or B with 1+ years of experience is required, plus the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Credentials: Valid CDL Class A or B.
• Experience: 1+ years of CDL driving experience (residential route experience is a plus!).
• Physical fitness: Lift up to 50 lbs and frequent cab entry/exit.
• Safety: Spatial awareness for driving tight residential streets.

GFL Environmental is looking for a CDL Residential Driver to join our team. You'll serve as a frontline hero in our neighborhood streets, ensuring local communities stay clean, safe, and green.

What You'll Be Doing

• Neighborhood Service: Drive automated or side-load residential collection trucks through assigned neighborhood routes.
• Smart Operation: Safely operate hydraulic mechanisms to lift, dump, and return residential waste and recycling carts.
• Community Champion: Wave to neighbors, represent GFL with a friendly attitude, and keep residential streets clean and safe.
• Safety & Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip safety checks to ensure your rig is in top shape.

What We're Looking For

• Credentials: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B).
• Experience: 1+ years of CDL driving experience (residential route experience is a plus!).
• Physical Fitness: Ability to step in and out of the cab frequently and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
• Safety First: Excellent spatial awareness for driving down tight residential streets and near parked vehicles.
