Job summary

Ozinga is hiring a Ready Mix Truck Driver to safely and efficiently deliver concrete and related products to customers in rural and urban environments in all weather conditions.

The role involves performing thorough vehicle inspections, reading delivery tickets, loading materials, driving to job sites, and returning to the yard several times daily, with exposure to various terrain and weather. Strong English skills and a valid CDL are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with airbrakes endorsement.
• Current medical certificate.
• Ability to read and understand delivery tickets.
• Willingness to lift/load items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough DOT pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Read and interpret delivery tickets to ensure correct product and location.
• Lift, carry, and load items for delivery (e.g., bags of calcium chloride, fibers, color dye).
• Drive to customer job sites, unload concrete, and return to yard multiple times daily.
• Walk, climb, and stand on uneven, muddy, or frozen sites; attach chute extensions as needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers and Dispatch, representing the company professionally.
• Maintain a clean truck and wash drum after loading/unloading.
• Perform other duties assigned by management (e.g., shoveling, sweeping).
• Read and speak English sufficiently for everyday operations.
