Job summary

Ozinga is hiring a Ready Mix Truck Driver in Pompano Beach, Florida. In this role, you will ensure the safe and efficient delivery of concrete and other related products to various customer sites while maintaining professionalism.

You will be responsible for performing inspections, operating the truck, and unloading materials at construction sites. A Florida CDL Class A or B with airbrakes endorsement is required, but experience is not necessary as training will be provided.

Overview

Pay: $22.00 - $23.50 per hour.

Role: Ready Mix Truck Driver responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of concrete and other related products to customers in rural and urban environments, in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Thorough DOT pre and post trip inspections including raising and lowering the hood.
• Read and understand the delivery ticket to ensure correct product and location.
• Lift, carry, and load extra items for delivery (e.g., heavy bags of calcium chloride, fibers, color dye, bundles of expansion joint).
• Deliver to customer sites, unload concrete, and return to yard; operate manual or automatic transmissions; driving time per load varies.
• Walk, climb, and stand on uneven, muddy, or frozen job sites; attach large metal chute extensions to the truck on difficult terrain.
• Communicate effectively with customers and Dispatch; represent the company professionally.
• Keep the truck clean, including washing out the drum after loading/unloading.
• Perform other work as assigned (shoveling, sweeping, cleaning).
• Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand highway signs and to make entries on reports and records.
