Job Details

This role is in support of Cencora's distribution services in the US operating through our AmerisourceBergen business.

Summary of Role

This position is responsible for ensuring MWI Animal Health drivers and customers receive the desired ordered product in a timely manner and ensuring the continued flow of products leaving the Edwardsville warehouse. This position will work in conjunction with all Animal Health personnel to include sales team members, key warehouse personnel, and the transportation team.

Shift Details

Monday‑Friday 6:30am‑3:30pm

Travel

On the road 75% + minimum 1 night of overnight travel required

Responsibilities
  • Drive truck to designated location then loads and unloads supplies and equipment as directed by bill of ladings.
  • Unload and check product/pallets upon arriving at warehouse.
  • Inspect truck equipment, supplies, such as fifth wheel, tire, lights, brakes, diesel, oil, and water for defects, before and after trips.
  • Maintain vehicle upkeep by performing general maintenance and addressing safety concerns.
  • Report all discrepancies and safety concerns to your manager.
  • Report all needed major repairs to leasing company and your manager.
  • Performs emergency roadside repairs.
  • Ensures cargo is secure during transit.
  • Maintain accurate driving records and follows all regulations including DOT and Hazmat regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain a daily log, inspection reports, cargo loads, and customer receipts if required.
  • Follow all procedures as detailed in the Delivery Specialist Procedure Manual.
  • Maintain constant communication with Warehouse Manager to receive delivery instructions and to report any delivery discrepancies.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory including taking inventory at customer’s site and determining customer’s needs.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly truck.
  • Provide customer service if required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Adequate mobility to continually walk and stand; pull orders from various shelf heights; and ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and 50 lbs on occasion is required.
  • Occasionally will move 75 lbs from pallet to pallet.
  • Must be available for on‑call rotation.
Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent is desired; six months to a year related experience is preferred.
  • Must have a valid CDL with hazmat endorsement (preferred) and forklift experience.
Work Environment

This position will work in both a warehouse environment as well as at customer sites including feedlots and dairies. In such an environment the position will be frequently exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold, temperature changes, humidity and noise.

Physical Requirements

This position will constantly require heavy work including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, hearing, and eye/hand/foot coordination. Frequently requires climbing, stooping, kneeling, talking and repetitive motions.
