This employee performs equipment setups (concentrators, durable medical equipment, etc.) in a professional, safe, and timely manner, delivering and installing respiratory equipment in apartments, private homes, clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare settings.
Responsibilities
- Work independently, detail‑oriented, with excellent organizational skills.
- Follow safety procedures for delivery and setup of respiratory equipment.
- Complete equipment orientation checklists and required paperwork for new patient setup.
- Instruct patients in the safe and proper use of equipment.
- Make oxygen deliveries (cylinders and concentrators) and conduct equipment checks along daily routes.
- Refill reservoirs with liquid oxygen from van‑mounted tanks.
- Perform minor equipment repairs and preventative maintenance on site.
- Package equipment for shipment to manufacturer for repairs beyond minor scope.
- Maintain equipment per manufacturer’s recommended schedule.
- Maintain company vehicle clean and orderly.
- Conduct daily inspections and complete required paperwork.
- Maintain established preventative maintenance schedule.
- Clean rental equipment upon return to center in accordance with policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse/storage area.
- Follow FDA guidelines for cylinder tracking and oxygen analyzer testing.
- Adhere to policies in Operations Manual, Safety & Regulatory Manual, OSHA, DOT, FDA, and Emergency Planning.
- Serve as on‑call service representative evenings and weekends as scheduled, with frequency determined by center size and staffing.
- Respond to service calls in a timely manner and record information on Service Call Report.
- Act as backup for other employees during vacation, illness, or absenteeism periods.
- Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, occasionally more than 120 pounds.
