Job summary

Graybar Electric Company in Carteret, New Jersey, is seeking a Union Delivery Driver - CDL to safely operate a Graybar truck on local routes, deliver customer orders, and provide courteous service that strengthens customer relations.

This day-shift position runs Monday through Friday, typically 4:00 am to 1:00 pm, with home every night. CDL Class A, B, or C is required; you must pass a DOT medical exam and a pre-employment physical, and you’ll load/unload, inspect, and log truck activity.

Qualifications

• Experience driving a van or truck equal or below 26,000 GVW.
• Must have a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type.
• Ability to pass DOT medical exam and Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification.
• Customer service skills and ability to maintain positive customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to Graybar customers while providing excellent customer service.
• Load and unload trucks and use warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Inspect vehicle and supplies and maintain proper truck logs.
• Work a local route with no overnights or weekends away.
