Job summary

Denali in Champaign, IL is seeking a CDL driver to join our growing waste recycling team. You will load, haul, and deliver food waste across regional routes, with potential interstate travel. Operate manual and automatic transmission trucks and pallet jacks, with safety and DOT compliance as a priority.

Qualifications

• Time management and ability to maintain route consistency.
• Communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in operating Manual and Automatic Transmission vehicles
• Ability to use a manual or electric pallet jack.
• Experience using an Electronic Logging System
• Knowledge of hydraulics is a plus.
• Basic computer and cell phone knowledge
• All drivers must read and speak English to converse with the public and complete reports.

Responsibilities

• Load, haul, and deliver food waste on intra- and interstate routes with multiple stops daily.
• Operate 30-45' trailers regionally as assigned.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain paperwork and communicate with customers and vendors.
• Adhere to DOT rules; report accidents immediately.
• Flexible hours up to 60 hours per week in peak seasons.
