Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services, LLC seeks a skilled CDL Highway Maintenance Technician to perform highway maintenance tasks and related duties under supervision. This on-site role involves keeping culverts clean, mowing, patching pavements, assisting in storm cleanup, and operating equipment using hand and power tools.

The ideal candidate is 18+, holds a Class A or B CDL with 5+ years of clean driving, can work nights and overtime, and is able to lift and work in adverse weather.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must have a Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) with at least 5 years of clean driving.
• Must be able to work nights and overtime as needed.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time.
• Accurate eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations with work plans and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.
